1.4 Transmission of Data to countries outside the European Union

1.5 Manner of data processing
The data will be processed in accordance with legal requirements, ensuring full compliance with the provisions of Italian and European legal, contractual and regulatory provisions. The data will be processed in printed and electronic form, using methods strictly connected to the purposes indicated above and in all cases in such a way as to guarantee data security and confidentiality, in accordance with the provisions of Article 31 and following of the Act and the Technical Regulations – Annex B to said Act. The data will be retained for a period necessary for the purposes for which it has been collected and in any case for the time established by statutory and fiscal regulations.
1.6 Data of minors

In particular, the User is entitled to confirmation that their personal data exists or otherwise, even if not yet registered, and for such data to be made available in an intelligible manner. The User may also ask to know the origin of the data, as well as the approach, purposes and manner of its processing with electronic instruments as well as the identification of the data controller, data processor and representative in the territory of the state and of parties/categories to which the data may be disclosed or that may become aware of the data in their capacity as designated representative in the State, and of data processors and persons in charge of the processing.

The User may object, in whole or in part:
a) on legitimate grounds, to the processing of their personal data, even if such data is significant for the purposes of the collection;
b) to the processing of their personal data for the purpose of sending advertising materials or direct selling or for market research or commercial communication.
1.8 Dissemination of data
The User's personal data will not be disseminated or communicated to third parties except those indicated herein.
However certain Personal Data such as the User’s nickname and/or image, or other information made public by the User on their profile and/or in communications through blogs and/or communities, are made accessible and disseminated to other users when the user chooses to participate in such initiatives (blogs and/or communities).
The Personal Data provided by the User may also be disseminated during specific initiatives (e.g. online prize draws and/or competitions).
1.9 Applicable law
This Privacy Policy is governed by Italian law and in particular by the Italian Data Protection Act which governs the processing of personal data – including held overseas – by any person or entity who is domiciled or has registered offices in Italy or using instruments located in Italy. The Act guarantees that the processing of personal data is carried out with respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms and dignity, particularly with regard to confidentiality, personal identity and the right to the protection of Personal Data.
1.10 Amendments and updates to the Privacy Policy
Piaggio may amend or simply update all or part of this Privacy Policy in consideration of the amendment of the rules of law or regulations that govern this subject and protect your rights. Changes and updates to the Privacy Policy will be notified to users on the site’s homepage as soon as they are adopted and will be binding once posted on the Website in this section. We therefore ask Users to access this section regularly to review the most recent and updated Privacy Policy.

2. COOKIES POLICY
Information on the use of cookies
We hereby inform you that Piaggio uses “cookies” to make the web browsing experience better for all Users who visit the Website.
A cookie is a small file that the Website transfers to the User’s browser, where they are stored to be retransmitted to the Website at the next visit by the same User.
The cookies are used for different purposes such as: running computer authentication, session tracking, storing information about specific configurations of users accessing the server.
Cookies allow the Website to remember User’s data for the length of the visit or the next visits, allowing the User to browse between pages efficiently, storing the User’s preferences, and allowing the User to interact with social networks such as Facebook, Google+, Instagram and to offer Google Maps’ services.
In all cases, visitors’ data is processed in an anonymous, aggregate and impermanent manner, and will not be used for the transmission of personal data or to send personalised advertising, nor are the systems used for tracking and profiling the User.
We hereby inform you that some operations cannot be carried out without the use of cookies (“technical cookies”), which in some cases are technically essential.
Cookies may also be used to store the login data of the User and therefore automatically recognise the User (making it unnecessary to login every time the User accesses the Website).
Data is processed with the aid of electronic or in any case automated, computerised or telematic devices, using approaches strictly connected to the purposes indicated above and, in any case, to ensure the security and confidentiality of the data.
According to current legislation in Italy, express consent is not always required for the use of cookies. In particular, so-called "technical" cookies, i.e. those used for the sole purpose of carrying out the transmission of a communication over an electronic communications network, or as strictly necessary to provide a service explicitly requested by the user, do not require such consent. These are, in other words, cookies essential for the functioning of the website or necessary to perform tasks requested by the user.
Technical cookies
The Italian Authority for the Protection of Personal Data considers the following cookies as technical cookies, which do not require consent for their use:
“analytics cookies” when used directly by the website operator to collect information, in aggregate form, on the number of users and how they visit the website,
browsing or session cookies (to login, to make a purchase, etc.),
functionality cookies, which allow the user to browse according to a set of selected criteria (for example, language, the products selected for purchase) in order to improve the service rendered to the same.
Profiling cookies
On the other hand, consent is required for so-called profiling cookies, i.e. those aimed at creating profiles concerning the user and used in order to send advertising messages in line with the preferences demonstrated by the same while surfing the internet.
Third party cookies
While browsing on the Website, the User may also receive cookies from different websites or web servers (" third-party cookie) that may include some elements (e.g. images, maps, sounds, specific links to pages on other domains) on the website that the User is visiting. These cookies are set by a website other than the one currently being visited.
Blocking cookies
Users can select which cookies to allow through the appropriate procedure provided below, as well as authorise, block or delete (in whole or in part) cookies through specific functions of their browser: nevertheless, in the event that all or some cookies are disabled, it is possible that the website will not be accessible or that some services or certain functions of the website are not available or are not working properly and/or users could be forced to change or manually enter certain information or preferences each time they visit the website.

As already envisaged in the banner that appears immediately when first visiting the website, consent to the use of all cookies can be provided by users by selecting the virtual acceptance button (e.g. an OK, a tick, etc.) or by continuing to browse the website (e.g. ignoring the banner/pop-up and performing further operations). Users will also have free access to the extended disclosure link, complete with all cookie information (description, purpose and storage), in which the website visitor will be able to provide consent only for certain categories of cookies.

Types of cookies
To ensure proper cookie management, as well as conscious consent to their use or otherwise, a summary is provided below of the different categories of cookies.
1) Technical cookies
These cookies are essential for the proper functioning of the Website. These cookies include the ones that allow the User to be remembered when they browse to the Website during a session or, if required, from one session to the next. Some requested services cannot be provided without this type of cookies.
These cookies are not used for other purposes and are usually installed by the owner or operator of the Website. They can be divided into browsing cookies or session cookies, which guarantee the normal browsing and the use of a Website (e.g. making it possible to make a purchase or login to access restricted areas); analytics cookies, which are similar to technical cookies when used directly by the website operator to collect information, in aggregate form, on the number of users and how they visit the website; functionality cookies, which allow the User to browse according to a set of selected criteria (for example, language, the products selected for purchase) in order to improve the service offered to the User.
The prior consent of the user is not required to install these cookies although the obligation remains to provide notice pursuant to Article 13 of the Act; the operator of the Website can provide this notice in the manner it deems most appropriate.

Given the considerable invasion of users’ private lives that these devices can involve, Italian and European legislation requires the User to be properly informed on the use of these cookies and to grant valid consent.
Profiling cookies require prior informed consent from the user, pursuant to Article 23 of Legislative Decree 196/2003. This Website obtains this consent in the forms provided for by the Regulations, using the banner that appears on the first visit and the extended disclosure that allows the user to grant or deny the relevant consent.
