Rome, 27 June 2016 - Piaggio Group and (RED) announced a partnership to support the fundraising for the battle against AIDS. Attending the event was also Bill Gates with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the largest private foundation in the world aimed at enhancing healthcare in developing countries.
Vespa, the beloved two-wheeler brand that has become a symbol of freedom and an icon of the Italian style all over the five continents, will present a (RED) vehicle that will go on sale in December 2016, in conjunction with (RED)’s Shopathon campaign. $150 from the sale of each unit will be reserved for the Global Fund for the battle against AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.
Piaggio Group has historically been sensitive to the problems connected to children’s health. The company’s CEO and MD, Roberto Colannino, along with (RED)’s CEO, Deborah Dugan, were proud to announce the collaboration aimed at raising money to support the critical work of the Global Fund.
